The overarching goal for the workshop is identifying potential strategies for advancing the structural use of earth-based bricks in selected regions. The workshop will collate the expertise of professionals championing the use of earth-based technologies. A primary outcome of the workshop will be a network of construction material researchers, which will benefit both the local collaborators and the U.S researchers and professionals. The scope of the workshop will be restricted to addressing the key challenges impeding the widespread use of earth-based bricks as a structural material.
