Estimator - Tampa, Florida - Prepare portions of contract proposal estimates for one or more disciplines. Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Prepare discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work. Contact subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and scope of work within their assigned discipline. Supports and maintains estimating historical data files and estimating software. Maintain files of working documents as back up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, prices lists, etc. Support other departments personnel as required may include preparing take off and sub/supplier contacts in other disciplines. Educational and experience requirements include a 4 year BS or MS engineering degree or equivalent combinations technical training and/or 2 year experience.
