Project Engineer Duties

 

  • Coordinate with the Project Superintendent
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager
  • Coordinate with the client’s Site Project Manager
  • Update Project Schedules
  • Update Submittal / Expediting Log
  • Update Request For Information Log
  • Update Change Order Log
  • Update the 2-week and monthly Status Reports
  • Coordinate subcontractor / supplier correspondence
  • Coordinate with airport safety and security
  • Coordinate visitors on site
  • Answer phone as needed

 

D.F. Chase, Inc. will provide all equipment including a laptop computer for use at the site and will train with the following software applications: Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Project as well as Timberline Project Management.

 

All applications, information, costs and forms are confidential and cannot be removed or used other than for D.F. Chase, Inc.

 

It will be the Project Engineer’s responsibility to provide reasonable care and protection of all furnished equipment.

 

Project Work Hours:

The project site typical work hours are from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday-Friday, with one (1) hour for lunch.  There will be times when overtime is required for meetings or Saturday work due to the project schedule. Since this is a salaried position, no over time will be paid.

 

Project Expenses:

All travel to and from the site are at the employee’s expense.

All travel expenses to Nashville, other locations or as part of the project, as directed by D.F. Chase, Inc., shall be directly paid by D.F. Chase, Inc. or reimbursed monthly.
