The House of the Overseers of the River Loire , has the form of a section of a gigantic horizontal pipe, through which gushes the river itself. To ridicule such a conception on practical grounds is to overlook its expressive gradeur, and to forget the not-dissimilar, but much acclaimed "Falling Waters" of Frank LLoyd Wright.
